第一次聽到這首歌是在一次英語課上，有同學用PPt做presentation，PPt的背景音樂就是這首tell me why。
发第一张专辑“Declan”的时候，Declan Galbraith只有十一歲，稚嫩的童聲聽起來卻異常流暢而富有感染力。在整個房間當中製造出一種面對面質詢的嚴肅氣氛。歌曲的意境亦深刻有愛，Declan純真的嗓音向我們訴說著他聽到的世界，給我們警示，亦給予我們安慰。
